  • Shaft, flange, and pilot diameter runout vs. the manufacturer's true specification
  • Motor shaft diameter vs. the ISO tolerance specified by the manufacturer
  • Overall vibration levels of the motor at full speed vs. the vibration class specified by the manufacturer
  • Vibration spectrums for particularly high speed, or high precision applications?
  • Bearing temperatures after stabilization at full speed.

This data and much, much more is recorded and stored in a permanent record.  This record serves as your assurance that the motor was comprehensively tested.  It also allows us to compare failure information and identify chronic application problems should the motor ever need service again.

Liquid cooled and oil lubricated motors are tested under conditions similar to the application with our liquid cooling circuit and oil/air lubrication system.

Our diagnostic instruments include 6kV and 12kV surge and hi-pot testers, 4 channel 500MHz digital oscilloscopes, micro-ohm meters, digital ID and OD micrometers, and much more.

If you can't afford to reinstall a motor that won't run on the machine then you need complete testing!
