Endeavor Technologies is the authority on repairing Mitsubishi built-in motors such as the SJ-4B6911TK for Mazak, Mori Seiki, Citizen and other machine tools.
In many cases that means rewinding, and our rewinding services are second to none. One reason for this is that we understand that for the CNC to operate as expected, the rewound motor must match the original exactly. Not only is it critical that the phase relationship is correct, the phase resistance and inductance also need to remain the same. For this reason, we take extraordinary care when reverse engineering electric motor windings, and never make design changes to simplify the rewinding process.
A frequently misunderstood component of motor windings are thermal protectors. Endeavor Technologies stocks the proper NTC thermistors required for operation with Mitsubishi’s MDS-D and MDS-E series controllers as well as the bi-metal switches required for older series drives.

For a modest upcharge, we can increase the ability of your motor winding to withstand contamination. Our Epox-E-Pak molded winding represents a substantial upgrade to windings that have only been dipped in varnish or vacuum pressure impregnated.
More Than Just Motor Windings
If you are rebuilding a motorized spindle, we’ll remove the winding & water jacket from the headstock casting, reassemble it after rewinding, and pressure test the assembly. We’ll even paint the headstock to simplify your rebuild process.
For geared-head lathes, such as the Mazak Slant Turn 550 or similar, Endeavor Technologies is fully equipped to take on any service that might be required to return the motor to like-new condition.
