Your Siemens motor 1FK6042-6AF71-1AG2 will be carefully evaluated by experienced technicians to determine if it is faulty. Motor Ke (back e.m.f.), brake torque, and the encoder or resolver will be checked with a variety of diagnostic instruments. After disassembly and cleaning, the windings will be tested with a digital surge tester, and DC hi-pot. Critical mechanical dimensions will be measured with micrometers, and all test results become part of the permanent record of the motor in our database. If the motor winding has failed, the old winding will be carefully reverse engineered before being stripped with a mechanical stripping method that prevents any damage to the insulated core. A new winding utilizing class H magnet wire and all class H insulation will be installed, and the PTC thermistors or KTY probes will be replaced. Since these motors are not designed to be completely disassembled for rewinding, the front flange, stator, and rear casting will be aligned with our proprietary process to ensure the bearings are concentric and the motor meets the factory assembly tolerances. If the motor shaft has failed or is worn, we’ll replace it with a new one precision ground to the factory dimensional tolerance. Worn mechanical components will be fabricated or re-furbished by our expert machinists. New bearings, seals, and any other required parts will be installed during assembly, and the encoder or resolver will be correctly aligned with the motor emf. Finally the motor will be test run with a Siemens servo controller. The motor will be checked for excessive noise or temperature, and vibration levels recorded. All test data becomes part of our database, and a link to the final service report will be emailed to you upon request. If you’ve had your Siemens motor 1FK6042-6AF71-1AG2 “repaired” by someone less experienced or equipped and it still doesn’t work, or didn’t last as long as you expected, it’s not too late! Send it to Endeavor Technologies to be completely rebuilt to factory specification today.
