Have you heard that Allen Bradley servo motors can’t be repaired? Don’t believe it! Endeavor Technologies, a Kurz Solution, offers cost effective repair for your Allen Bradley MPL-B560F-SJ24AA motor.
Evaluation
Our repair process includes a complete evaluation of the motor and encoder, starting with a run-test (condition permitting) to determine if the motor is faulty or not. The encoder is mechanically checked for bearing condition, and the output signals are checked for amplitude, distortion, and noise as well as verifying the electronic nameplate data isn’t corrupted.
Additionally, the generated voltage is checked to verify that the magnetic rotor is fully charged, and if the motor has a brake the holding torque, pull-in voltage, and holding voltage are checked.
After disassembly the bearing fits, cable harness, and connectors are inspected and the winding undergoes a series of high voltage tests.
Repair
If your MPL-B560F-SJ24AA Allen Bradley servo motor has suffered major mechanical or electrical damage, we offer comprehensive machining, rewinding, and balancing services to restore the components to like-new condition before assembly. We can even rebuild the magnet rotor if necessary!
All Allen Bradley motors repaired by Endeavor Technologies are assembled with new bearings, O-rings, and other sealing elements. If necessary the encoder will be replaced and re-programmed. And if the brake is not holding the required torque, the friction lining or rotor will be replaced, the friction plates re-surfaced, and the air gap adjusted.
Testing
Then the motor will be run closed-loop using the encoder for speed control so that we can verify correct operation. Final testing includes measuring bearing and winding temperatures, vibration levels, and no-load current draw as well as further testing of the encoder. After all testing is complete, your Allen Bradley MPL-B560F-SJ24AA will get a fresh coat of paint and new rating label.
