The Live Tool Motor Rebuild Process
We thoroughly evaluate each live tool spindle motor to determine the exact work scope needed to return it to like-new condition. All rebuilds include:
- Careful examination of the guide slot for damage that could cause noise and vibration during rotation of the turret.
- Dynamic balancing of rotating components.
- New bearings.
- Replacement of all sealing components, and pressure testing of the water jacket.
- Adjustment and testing of the pulse generator or encoder.
- Full speed, closed loop, run-in on one of our Mitsubishi CNC test stands
If your live tool spindle motor has a failed winding, it will be rewound and molded in epoxy. Our Epox-E-Pak insulation system affords for maximum protection from coolant ingress. Worn shafts, bearing housings, or other mechanical components will be replaced with OEM parts, or refurbished by the skilled personnel in our machine department.
